LAND CLEARING | December 2024
In October 2024, the land for our upcoming project was cleared and prepared for construction. This initial phase involved the removal of vegetation, debris, and surface leveling, ensuring the site was ready for the structural groundwork to begin. Proper site preparation was essential to establish a solid foundation for the smooth progression of the construction process.
Following the land clearing, the excavation phase was carried out to prepare for the foundation work. This process included digging to the required depth and shaping the site according to the structural plans. The excavation marked a crucial milestone, setting the stage for the installation of the reinforced concrete elements that would support the building’s structure.

FOUNDATION SLAB | Feb/ May 2025
We continue to make progress with the preparation of the foundation slab, placing a sheet of high-density black polyethylene on the ground. This material allows us to create an effective moisture barrier, preventing groundwater from rising and compromising both the concrete and interior finishes. This sheet helps us retain the necessary hydration during the concrete's curing, which improves its final strength and reduces the risk of early cracking. It also prevents the concrete from being contaminated by soil or impurities and protects the steel bars from corrosion.
We placed the steel bars in the diameters required by the structural calculations. They form part of the main reinforcement grid that reinforces the slab, designed to support the building's loads, the weight of the walls and columns, potential ground settlements, and seismic events. This entire process is part of our commitment to a solid, safe, and durable foundation for ABUND and is a key step in the overall progress of the Tohoku Living development.

We’ve advanced with the pouring of structural columns and the main cistern—key elements for the project’s strength and functionality.
The reinforced concrete columns provide stability and safety, while the cistern ensures an efficient and reliable water supply for the community. Each stage reinforces our vision: a high-quality development designed to experience the Caribbean with comfort and confidence.
POURING OF WALLS AND COLUMNS

At this stage, the pouring of structural walls and columns was carried out using high-strength ready-mix concrete. Mechanical vibration procedures were applied to ensure proper compaction and prevent the formation of voids. In addition, special attention was given to the correct alignment and verticality of the elements, ensuring compliance with structural parameters and the required quality for the continuity of the project.

STRUCTURAL PROGRESS, MASONRY & FINISHES ELECTROMECHANICAL INSTALLATIONS & VERTICAL MOBILITY SYSTEMS

The construction of walls, columns, beams, and slabs was completed to high quality and safety standards, ensuring strong structural integrity for the next above-ground stages. Work also included plastering, wall alignment, and technical finishes in service and circulation areas, preparing optimal conditions for the upcoming phases.
Hydraulic, sanitary, and electrical systems were installed across both basement levels, ensuring efficient and coordinated underground infrastructure. Passenger and vehicle elevators were also installed and are now being integrated into the project’s electromechanical systems.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE | FEB 2026
We completed the ground floor lobby slab — a key structural milestone.
The building is now officially taking shape. Columns and first-level walls are going up, making progress visible above ground for the first time. Underground parking is nearly complete, internal systems are advancing, and all concrete and pressure tests were certified by external laboratories — ensuring precision and long-term quality. With materials already on site, walls will be up within the next 10 days. ABUND is evolving from structure to space.
